Accessibility Statement

Commitment to accessibility

Etnaland S.r.l. is committed to making its website accessible, usable and understandable to as many people as possible, regardless of the technologies used, personal abilities or browsing methods.

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.etnaland.eu/ and to the public pages connected to it, including the information sections dedicated to the Themepark, Acquapark, Prehistory Park, calendar, prices, contacts, services, promotions and guest information.

Conformance status

This website is partially compliant with the accessibility requirements set out by the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines and with the general principles of the AgID guidelines on the accessibility of digital tools.

Etnaland also takes into account the evolution of the international WCAG 2.2 standards and the principles introduced by the European Accessibility Act, with particular attention to public-facing digital services and to online consultation, booking and purchase processes.

Compliance is partial due to the non-compliances and content that is not yet fully accessible, as indicated in this statement.

Content and features already optimized

The website includes several elements designed to improve accessibility and the use of its content, including:

  • page structure organized with recognizable headings and sections;
  • “Skip to content” link to make keyboard navigation easier;
  • main navigation menu and sitemap;
  • text content dedicated to park accessibility, with information on rates, attractions, accompanying persons and services;
  • contact page with text fields for submitting requests;
  • the option to activate a high-contrast mode in some sections of the website;
  • responsive content, available on desktop, tablet and smartphone devices;
  • alternative text on several informative images and icons across the website.

Content that is not fully accessible

Despite the optimization work already carried out, some content or features may not yet be fully accessible.

In particular:

  • some images, banners or graphic content may not have sufficiently descriptive alternative text when they convey relevant information;
  • some graphic links, buttons or repeated links may require more specific labels in order to be correctly interpreted by screen readers;
  • slideshows, carousels, interactive maps, calendars and dynamic components may require further checks on keyboard navigation, focus management and the correct communication of states to screen readers;
  • forms may require further improvements in the connection between fields, error messages and instructions through accessible attributes such as aria-describedby;
  • any anti-spam systems or verification fields may not always be fully usable with assistive technologies;
  • future multimedia content may require subtitles, text transcripts or equivalent alternatives;
  • any PDF documents or downloadable files published on the website may not all be fully accessible if they are not structured with correct headings, reading order, tags and alternative text;
  • some features connected to online ticketing, ticket recovery or external services may be provided through third-party platforms and may require specific checks on the related navigation, authentication, purchase and confirmation process.

Third-party services and content

The website may integrate or link to services provided by third parties, including online ticketing platforms, privacy and cookie management systems, multimedia content, maps, social networks or other external tools.

Etnaland is committed, as far as possible, to choosing solutions compatible with accessibility requirements and to reporting any issues found to the relevant providers. However, some technical aspects of these services may not be under the direct control of Etnaland S.r.l.
